Job Description:
Technical Business Support Officer
*Hourly Rate: £13.69 PAYE
*Location: Rotherham, Hybrid
*Job Type: Full-time
We are seeking a proactive and adaptable individual to join our team as a Technical Business Support. This role offers a unique blend of administrative, technical, and community engagement tasks, with opportunities for personal and professional development depending on skills and interest.
Day-to-Day Business Support:
*Handle MP correspondence and submit responses to relevant officers.
*Manage incoming queries and ensure timely resolution.
*Provide general administrative support across the team.
Financial & Technical Tasks:
*Raise purchase orders and support financial processes when required.
*Assist with technical aspects of service delivery and wider team support.
External Engagement:
*Liaise with external partners, councillors, neighbourhood teams, and local agencies.
*Attend meetings with police, housing officers, and community representatives as needed.
*Support community engagement activities, including occasional resident meetings.
Project Development (Optional):
*For candidates keen to develop, there is scope to lead small to medium-scale community projects based on day-to-day work.
*Implement approved measures and contribute to local initiatives.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
*Competent in writing formal letters and understanding correspondence standards.
*Strong administrative skills with attention to detail.
*Ability to manage multiple tasks and adapt to changing priorities.
*Good communication and interpersonal skills for internal and external engagement.
*Local knowledge of RMBC area and ability to attend the office when required.
Desirable:
*Experience in community engagement or project delivery.
*Ability to work independently and take initiative.
