*Location: Aylesford, Kent
*Job Type: Full-time, Permanent
Day-to-day of the role:
*Coordinate various phases of the raw material supplier approval process including documentation review, risk assessments, and organizing external testing.
*Create and update purchasing specifications for new and existing raw materials.
*Manage raw material analytical monitoring and supplier audits in collaboration with the Quality Department.
*Collect, review, and file documentation from suppliers during the approval process.
*Compile summary reports for audits and customer requests from annual raw material monitoring.
*Test new raw materials under evaluation for approval.
*Manage customer notifications and the approval process.
*Conduct annual risk assessments for raw materials and suppliers.
*Lead Kosher and Halal certification for the UK site.
*Support the Continuous Improvement program and provide project support for the Quality Department.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
*Strong understanding of Quality requirements and standards in the food industry.
*1-2 years’ experience within a Quality, Technical, or R&D role in the Food Industry is desirable.
*Excellent attention to detail and a strong focus on Quality.
*Proficient in written and oral communication.
*Effective project management skills.
*Ability to work autonomously, learn quickly, and take initiative.
*Resilience and confidence to interact with senior management.
