External Workforce Recruitment Specialist
Location: Birmingham, Hams Hall
Job Type: Full-time | Permanent | On-site
Salary: £42,000 per year (+ quarterly bonus up to £875 and annual bonus up to £3,500)
About the Role
Reed Recruitment is proud to partner with a leading, rapidly growing organisation to recruit a People & Culture Senior Specialist for their state-of-the-art distribution center. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a dynamic business shaping the future of logistics and e-commerce operations.
In this pivotal role, you will manage and optimise the external workforce process, ensuring seamless collaboration with staffing agencies and maintaining compliance. You’ll play a key part in workforce planning, performance monitoring, and driving process improvements to support operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
*Coordinate and manage all processes related to temporary workforce deployment in partnership with staffing agencies.
*Own day-to-day communication with agency partners to ensure service quality and timely staffing fulfillment.
*Oversee recruitment, onboarding, and documentation for external workers.
*Build strong relationships with agencies and internal stakeholders, including Operations.
*Monitor KPIs and service levels, ensuring transparency and continuous improvement.
*Prepare and analyse HR staffing reports to support data-driven decisions.
*Ensure compliance with labour regulations for temporary employment.
*Develop and implement procedures to improve efficiency in workforce management.
*Collaborate with Operations to forecast and secure correct staffing levels.
*Identify risks or bottlenecks and recommend proactive solutions.
What We’re Looking For
*Minimum 3 years’ experience in a similar role (e.g., Staffing Agency Specialist, External Workforce Coordinator).
*Strong understanding of temporary employment processes and labour regulations.
*Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
*Analytical mindset with experience in reporting and KPI analysis.
*Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
*Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
