Lecturer in Arboriculture

We are seeking a dedicated Lecturer in Arboriculture to join our vibrant team at our college in Dorset. This role offers an exciting opportunity to deliver educational programs in arboriculture, horticulture, and countryside studies to students at levels 2 and 3. Ideal candidates will be enthusiastic, self-motivated, and possess a strong desire to inspire and educate future industry professionals.
Day-to-Day of the Role:
*Deliver lectures and practical training sessions in arboriculture, horticulture, and countryside management.
*Assist students in achieving qualifications at levels 2 and 3, providing both theoretical knowledge and practical skills.
*Engage in continuous development of course materials and curriculum to ensure compliance with industry standards and educational requirements.
*Maintain a positive and flexible attitude to facilitate the success of the program.
*Perform administrative and organisational tasks related to course delivery.
*Collaborate with other faculty members to enhance the learning environment and integrate interdisciplinary approaches.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
*Teaching Qualification at Level 5 or above, or willingness to work towards this.
*Arboriculture, Horticulture, Landscape, or Countryside qualification at Level 3 or above.
*English and Maths qualifications at Level 2 or above.
*Industry tickets in Chainsaw & Cross Cutting and Felling.
*Forestry first aid qualification, or the willingness to work towards this.
*First Aid Qualification, or willingness to work towards.
*Desirable: Assessment or verification qualifications.
*Desirable: Industry tickets in Climbing and other certificates of competence.
