Description
The Management Accountant duties will include:
*Support the Senior Finance Manager to ensure that monthly and annual responsibilities are satisfied in line with expectations.
*Supporting transactional information eg purchase order & invoice processing, expenses, weekly bank reconciliations.
*Take ownership of the preparation of monthly management accounts.
*Assist in preparation and posting of monthly journals (eg prepayments & accruals).
*Assist in the reconciliation of balance sheet accounts, investigating and resolving discrepancies.
*Assist the annual tax, accounting, and audit year-end processes.
*Assist in execution of activities detailed on monthly to-do lists (eg VAT returns, CIS returns)
*Support in the preparation of annual statutory accounts for the Group.
*Assist in monthly/ quarterly project meetings- Business development, ’EPC’ projects & ’O&M’ sites.
*Provide ad hoc analysis and support to the finance team and other departments.
*Provide ad hoc senior support to the junior members of the team.
Profile
A successful Management Accountant will ideally have:
*Demonstrable expertise in month end processes and management accounts.
*Actively studying either ACCA or CIMA to part-qualified or finalist level. Qualified by experience will be considered.
*Proficiency in financial reporting and analysis tools.
*Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
*Knowledge of accounting principles and regulations relevant to the Energy & Natural Resources industry.
*Ability to manage multiple tasks effectively and meet deadlines.
*Strong communication skills to collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.
