General Road Worker

*Pay Rate: £12.65 per hour (PAYE)

Join our team and contribute to the maintenance and improvement of highways and public spaces in Bury. This role is crucial for ensuring the safety and well-being of the local community by keeping roads and footpaths in excellent condition.
Day-to-day of the role:
*Perform various road maintenance tasks such as pothole repairs, kerb and paving installations, drainage works, and surface patching.
*Operate hand tools and small plant machinery like breakers and compactors.
*Assist with traffic management and ensure site safety.
*Load and unload materials and equipment necessary for daily tasks.
*Collaborate with the team to meet project deadlines while adhering to health and safety regulations.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
*Experience in highways or construction work is desirable but not essential.
*Capable of performing physically demanding tasks in various weather conditions.
*Familiarity with tools, equipment, and materials used in road works.
*Strong teamwork and communication skills.
*A valid UK driving licence is preferred.
*Possession of a CSCS card or equivalent would be advantageous.
