SEND Teaching Assistant
*Daily Rate: £90 - £105 (dependent on experience)
*Location: Greenwich, London
*Job Type: Full-time
We are seeking a dedicated SEND Teaching Assistant to join our vibrant school, which boasts both primary and secondary campuses in Greenwich. This full-time role offers a rewarding opportunity to work closely with students who have special educational needs and disabilities, helping to make a significant difference in their educational journey.
Day-to-day of the role:
*Support students with special educational needs and disabilities in both classroom settings and one-to-one sessions.
*Assist in the implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and monitor student progress.
*Collaborate with teachers and other staff to facilitate a supportive and effective learning environment.
*Adapt learning materials to meet the needs of students.
*Manage small groups of students to ensure they remain engaged and on task.
*Provide feedback to teachers and parents on student progress and behaviour.
*Assist with the preparation of teaching materials and the setup of the classroom.
*Help manage any behavioural or emotional issues in a sensitive and effective manner.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
*Experience working as a Teaching Assistant, preferably with SEND students.
*Strong understanding of the challenges faced by students with special educational needs.
*Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
*Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for helping students with additional needs.
*Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently.
*Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).
