Job Description:
Teaching Assistant - Year 3 - Autism Support - Tottenham A supportive Primary School in Tottenham, North London, is seeking an experienced Teaching Assistant to support a Year 3 pupil with Autism on a 1:1 basis. This Teaching Assistant role is to start in January and is ideal for someone confident, patient, and experienced in supporting children with ASD.
As a Teaching Assistant, you will help the pupil access learning, manage transitions, and regulate emotions throughout the school day. The school has a strong SEN team and clear behaviour strategies in place to support both pupils and staff.
The Teaching Assistant role includes:
* 1:1 support for a Year 3 pupil with Autism
* Supporting learning, engagement, and emotional regulation
* Implementing strategies from the SENCo and external professionals
* Working closely with the class teacher and SEN team
* Providing consistent and nurturing support
Requirements:
* Experience as a Teaching Assistant supporting Autism
* Calm, resilient, and confident approach
* Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
Location: Tottenham, North London
Start: January
Contract: Long-term
Pay: £85-£100 per day
