Job Description:
Client Development Director - Sciences, Food & FMCG We are seeking a dynamic and commercially driven Client Development Director to join our specialist recruitment team, focusing on the Food, FMCG, and Scientific sectors. This hybrid role combines business development, sales activity, account management, and strategic partnership building. You will be instrumental in expanding our client base, deepening relationships, and enhancing our brand presence across industry and academia.
Key Responsibilities
Business Development & Sales
*Identify and pursue new business opportunities across the Food, FMCG, and Science sectors
*Lead client engagement strategies to win new contracts and increase revenue
*Conduct market mapping to identify growth areas and emerging trends
*Account Management
*Manage and nurture existing client relationships to ensure high levels of satisfaction and repeat business
*Act as a trusted advisor to clients, understanding their recruitment needs and delivering tailored solutions
*Be comfortable selling the entire suite of Reed products and solutions
Partnership & Community Engagement
*Build strategic relationships with universities, research institutions, and industry bodies
*Explore and develop partnerships within the Biotech and FMCG communities to enhance brand visibility and collaboration
*Lead initiatives to promote diversity and inclusion, including the creation and facilitation of a ’Women in Engineering’ mentoring group, aimed at supporting female talent in STEM fields
Internal Collaboration & Upskilling
*Share market insights and scientific knowledge to upskill internal teams
*Build and maintain an excellent internal stakeholder network
*Support consultants with technical understanding of roles in Biotech and Science to improve candidate matching and client service
Measures of Success
*Acquisition of new client contracts and partnerships
*Growth in revenue and profitability across target sectors
*Expansion of client base and market share
*Increased brand exposure within academic and industry circles
*Enhanced internal capability through knowledge sharing and training
*Successful launch and engagement of the ’Women in Engineering’ mentoring group
