Job Title: QTS Tutor Liverpool
Location: Liverpool (community-based or in-home sessions)
Pay Rate: GBP25-GBP30 per hour
Job Type: Part-Time | Flexible Hours
About the Role
Prospero Teaching is looking for an experienced and compassionate tutor with Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) to join our team in Liverpool. This role involves providing one-to-one tuition in a range of subjects, including Maths, English, and Science, to students who need additional support to reach their academic potential. If youre passionate about tailoring lessons to meet individual needs and helping students build confidence in their learning, this could be the perfect role for you.
Key Responsibilities
Deliver one-to-one tuition across core subjects (Maths, English, Science) to students in a way that is tailored to their individual learning needs.
Adapt lesson plans, teaching methods, and pace to ensure content is accessible and engaging for each student.
Build strong, trusting relationships with students to create a safe, motivating, and supportive learning environment.
Monitor student progress and provide constructive feedback to students, parents, and carers.
Develop and implement personalised learning plans to help students achieve their academic goals.
Provide guidance and support to students to build confidence and improve their exam preparation skills.
Essential Requirements
Hold QTS (Qualified Teacher Status).
At least 1 year of experience teaching or tutoring in a one-to-one or small group setting.
Right to work in the UK.
Enhanced DBS check on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one).
Ability to work independently and manage a flexible tutoring schedule.
Desirable Qualifications
Experience teaching or tutoring students at GCSE or Key Stage 3 level.
Experience working with students with Special Educational Needs (SEN) such as Autism, ADHD, or SEMH.
Strong communication skills, with the ability to build rapport and work closely with parents and other professionals.
Additional Information
Sessions typically take place during school hours, with some flexibility for after-school or evening sessions based on student availability.
