Job Title: Outreach Tutor Trafford
Location: Trafford (community-based or in-home sessions)
Pay Rate: £25- £30 per hour
Job Type: Part-Time | Flexible Hours
About the Role
Prospero Teaching is looking for a compassionate and dedicated tutor with Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) to support students in Trafford through our outreach program. This role will involve delivering tailored lessons to students with diverse learning needs, including those with Special Educational Needs (SEN). You will work with students in a one-to-one setting, providing high-quality support across core subjects. Key Responsibilities
Deliver one-to-one tuition across various subjects, including English, Maths, and other core subjects, tailored to the individual learning profiles of students.
Adapt lesson plans to meet the needs of students with different learning abilities, including those with SEN, ensuring content is accessible and engaging.
Create a supportive and motivating learning environment to build student confidence and promote academic growth.
Monitor and assess student progress, providing regular feedback to parents and carers.
Develop structured, student-focused learning plans that meet the academic and emotional needs of each individual.
Foster strong relationships with students and families, ensuring clear communication and collaboration throughout the tutoring process.
Essential Requirements
Hold QTS (Qualified Teacher Status).
At least 1 year of experience teaching or tutoring in a one-to-one or small group setting.
Right to work in the UK.
Enhanced DBS check on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one).
Ability to manage a flexible tutoring schedule and work independently.
Desirable Qualifications
Experience working with students who have SEN (Autism, ADHD, SEMH, etc.).
Experience in tutoring students at GCSE or Key Stage 3 levels.
Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with families and professionals.
Additional Information
Sessions are typically held during school hours, with some flexibility for after-school or evening sessions based on student availability.
As an outreach tutor, you will be given the flexibility to work within the local community or directly in students’ homes.
Prospero Teaching will provide ongoing support, resources, and regular monitoring to ensure you have all the tools needed to succeed in your role.
