Clark Wood are currently working with a leading, fast-growing and highly reputable accountancy group who are seeking an experienced and driven Accounts Manager to join their expanding team.

In this role, you will take ownership of your own vibrant and varied client portfolio, acting as a trusted adviser and becoming the primary point of contact for business owners and directors. You will work closely with the leadership team to deliver high-quality accounts, business advice and client service, ensuring projects are completed efficiently, accurately, and in line with the firm’s strong service standards. You will play a key role in cultivating long-term client relationships, identifying opportunities to add value, and contributing to client retention and business development activities.

You will hold a central leadership position within the accounts team, coaching, developing and supporting junior staff, overseeing workflow planning, and working collaboratively with directors and other departments to ensure seamless delivery across your portfolio. You will help to drive a positive, energetic and progressive team culture, championing best practice, supporting innovation, and contributing to wider firm initiatives.

The ideal candidate will be ACA or ACCA qualified (or QBE) with proven experience within an accountancy practice environment. You will have worked with OMB clients, possess strong technical capability, excellent communication skills, and the ability to build trusted relationships. You should be highly organised, tech-savvy (knowledge of CCH advantageous), and able to inspire and energise those around you while managing a varied workload.
