Accounts & Audit Manager - Bradford
Clark Wood are currently working with a well-established, independent firm of chartered accountants in Bradford who are seeking an experienced Audit and Accounts Manager to join their expanding team.
This reputable firm has built a strong presence across Yorkshire, providing high-quality audit, accounts, and advisory services to a diverse portfolio of clients. Known for their commitment to promoting from within, they offer a collaborative and ambitious environment where professionals can develop their expertise and take ownership of their career progression.
In this role, you will manage a varied portfolio of clients across multiple sectors, overseeing the planning, execution, and completion of audit and accounts assignments in line with regulatory standards. You will supervise and mentor junior team members, providing guidance and training to ensure the delivery of high-quality work, while also reviewing and reporting on work completed to the directors.
You will be responsible for building and maintaining strong client relationships, acting as a trusted adviser, and contributing to the firm’s growth through business development and strategic input. The role also involves liaising with internal departments to ensure an exceptional client experience, assisting directors with ad hoc advisory projects, and managing work in progress and billing for your portfolio of engagements.
The ideal candidate will be ACA or ACCA qualified (or equivalent), with substantial experience in audit and accounts, ideally a minimum of five years. You will possess strong technical knowledge of UK auditing and accounting standards, excellent communication and leadership skills, and a proactive, client-focused approach.
