Quality Manager – Precision Engineering
?? Location: Southend-on-Sea
?? Hours: Monday to Friday, Day Shift
?? Salary: Competitive, DOE (Depending on Experience)
About the Role
We are currently recruiting for a Quality Manager to join our client, a highly respected precision engineering company based in Southend-on-Sea. Specialising in the production of very small, high-precision components for sectors including aerospace, automotive (Formula 1), and medical, this is an exciting opportunity to lead quality operations in a cutting-edge environment.
Key Responsibilities
*Lead and manage a small team of 2 quality professionals.
*Oversee all aspects of quality assurance and control across production.
*Develop, implement, and maintain the company’s Quality Management System (QMS).
*Conduct internal and external audits to ensure compliance with ISO standards.
*Program and operate CMM (Coordinate Measuring Machines) for precision inspection.
*Analyse quality data and implement corrective/preventive actions (CAPA).
*Liaise with customers and suppliers regarding quality issues and improvements.
*Drive continuous improvement initiatives using lean and Six Sigma methodologies.
Requirements
? Proven experience in a Quality Management role within a precision engineering or manufacturing environment.
? Strong knowledge of CMM programming and metrology tools.
? Excellent leadership and team management skills.
? In-depth understanding of ISO 9001 and other relevant quality standards.
? Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
? Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
