We are recruiting Trainee Mechanical Inspectors to join their workshop at the Denham site. This role is ideal for someone looking to start a career in engineering, or for individuals seeking a career change into the aerospace sector, with structured training and clear progression.

The traineeship

This is a structured 18–24 month traineeship, depending on individual progression.
There is potential for salary increases during the traineeship, alongside strong long-term career prospects within aerospace inspection and engineering.

Trainee Mechanical Inspectors Duties

With full training and support, you will:
*Learn mechanical inspection and testing techniques for aerospace components


*Interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and test procedures


*Produce accurate inspection and quality documentation


*Use SAP to track components, record progress, and manage non-conformances


*Handle materials safely in line with health & safety requirements


*Support continuous improvement initiatives, including 5S and lean practices


Trainee Mechanical Inspector Profile

This role suits someone with a hands-on, practical mindset and a genuine interest in engineering.
If you enjoy working with tools, mechanical systems, engines, vehicles, or technical projects, you’ll be well suited.

Essential requirements:

*GCSEs at Level 5 or above in Maths, English, and Physics (or equivalent)


*Strong attention to detail and good manual dexterity


*Clear verbal and written communication skills


*Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office)


*A proactive, reliable, and adaptable approach


*Ideally a driver, as the site can be difficult to access via public transport
