Job Description:
Concrete Manufacturing Operative – 3 Shift Pattern
Location: Newark
£13.58ph + shift allowance
Monday – Friday, rotating shifts (06:00–14:00 / 13:30–22:00 / 22:00–06:30)
Elevation Recruitment Group are currently working with a leading manufacturing business in Newark to recruit Manufacturing Operatives to join their growing team.
This is an excellent opportunity to secure a role within a fast-paced, heavy industrial environment, offering stability, development, and long-term prospects.
Key Responsibilities: * Mould Preparation – cleaning, oiling, and assembling moulds ready for casting pre-cast concrete piles.
* Concrete Pouring – assisting in batching, pouring, and compacting concrete to achieve consistent quality.
* Reinforcement Placement – installing reinforcement cages and tensioning strands before pouring.
* Demoulding & Handling – safely removing cured piles from moulds using mechanical handling equipment.
* Quality Control – inspecting products for defects and ensuring compliance with specifications.
* Machinery Operation – operating equipment such as concrete vibrators, overhead cranes, and cutting tools.
* Health & Safety – strictly adhering to site safety procedures and PPE requirements.
* Housekeeping – maintaining a clean and organised working environment.
* Teamwork – working collaboratively to achieve daily production targets.
Person Specification: Previous experience in a manufacturing or construction environment.
Comfortable performing manual tasks in a heavy industrial setting.
Ability to follow instructions, meet quality standards, and complete documentation accurately.
Basic knowledge of health & safety practices.
Desirable:
* Forklift Truck or Overhead Crane licence.
* Knowledge of concrete products or pre-cast manufacturing processes.
* Experience with power tools and mechanical handling equipment.
