Day-to-day of the role:
*Manage all aspects of cost control and financial management for finishing projects.
*Prepare and review bills of quantities, cost estimates, and tender documents.
*Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress and ensure compliance with contractual obligations.
*Negotiate and manage subcontractor agreements and variations.
*Provide accurate monthly valuations and financial reports to stakeholders.
*Ensure projects are delivered within budget and timelines.
*Liaise with clients, project managers, and site teams to maintain strong communication and resolve issues promptly.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
*Proven experience working for a finishing contractor (essential).
*Strong knowledge of construction processes, materials, and finishing trades.
*Excellent understanding of commercial and contractual aspects of construction projects (NEC Essential)
*Proficient in relevant software (e.g., MS Excel, cost management tools).
*Exceptional attention to detail and analytical skills.
*Ability to work full-time from the office in Tilbury.
*Strong communication and negotiation skills.
