Job Description:
Supply Teacher (Years 2–4) – Part-Time
Start Date: 5th January
Days: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday
Hours: 8:30am – 12:30pm
Class Size: 10 pupils
Year Groups: Mixed Years 2, 3 & 4
About the Role
We are seeking an enthusiastic and adaptable Supply Teacher to cover a small mixed-age class of Years 2, 3 and 4. This is a fantastic opportunity for a teacher who enjoys working with a tight-knit group of pupils and can deliver engaging learning across KS1 and lower KS2.
You will be responsible for delivering pre-planned lessons, maintaining a positive classroom environment, and supporting pupils’ learning and well-being during the morning sessions.
Key Responsibilities
*Teach a mixed-age class of 10 pupils in Years 2–4.
*Deliver and adapt pre-prepared lesson plans as required.
*Create a supportive and inclusive learning atmosphere.
*Manage behaviour in line with school policies.
*Provide feedback to the class teacher or senior leadership where necessary.
*Ensure the safeguarding and welfare of all pupils.
Requirements
*Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
*Experience teaching in primary settings, ideally KS1/KS2.
*Strong classroom management and communication skills.
*Ability to adapt quickly and work effectively in a supply role.
*A positive, committed and flexible approach.
