Description
In this role, as an Assistant Accountant you’ll be a key part of the finance team, making sure everything runs smoothly and accurately. Your work will help shape important business decisions and keep things on track. Day-to-day, you’ll:
*Pull together weekly and monthly management accounts with clear KPIs
*Spot trends and explain differences with variance analysis
*Keep bank and cash reconciliations accurate and up to date
*Handle payroll analysis and journals
*Manage accruals and prepayments
*Check balance sheets and dig into any variances
*Support with budgets, forecasts, and year-end audits
*Help strengthen financial controls through internal audit
Profile
What makes you successful in this role ?
*Qualified by experience or working towards ACCA, CIMA, or AAT
*At least 3 years’ experience in a similar role with strong management accounts knowledge
*Excellent IT skills, especially MS Excel
*Strong communication skills and ability to build relationships across the business
*High attention to detail and accuracy
