Teaching Assistant
Location: Leicestershire (LE12)
Pay: £103 - £110 per day
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am - 3:30pm
Start Date: January 2026
Contract: Long-term to permanent
About the Role
We are working with a welcoming specialist all-through school in the LE12 area that supports pupils aged 4 to 16 with Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs. The school provides a calm, structured and nurturing environment where pupils are supported to develop confidence, emotional regulation and a positive relationship with learning.
This is a rewarding opportunity for a Teaching Assistant who is passionate about supporting young people in a specialist SEMH setting, helping them build confidence, independence and essential life skills.
Your Responsibilities
*Provide 1:1 and small-group support to pupils with SEMH needs
*Support emotional regulation, resilience and positive behaviour
*Help create a safe, structured and inclusive learning environment
*Support pupils with independence, life skills and confidence
*Build strong, trusting relationships with pupils, staff and families
*Work closely with teachers and pastoral staff to remove barriers to learning
Who We’re Looking For
*Previous experience supporting children or young people with SEMH or SEN
*A calm, patient and empathetic approach to behaviour support
*Strong communication skills and a team-focused mindset
*Resilience and adaptability in a fast-paced specialist setting
