*Part-time: Mon - Thurs 16.00 - 20.00 (16 hrs p/w)

*Salary: £10,158 (£28k pro rata)
My client is a well-established transport company who is looking for a vibrant person to join their controller team. This role is crucial in providing reliable and professional transport services by being the first point of contact for our customers. You will handle phone enquiries, take bookings, and dispatch jobs to drivers, ensuring smooth operations and excellent customer service.
Day-to-day of the role:
*Answer incoming calls from customers in a polite and professional manner.
*Take accurate booking details and input them into our system.
*Dispatch jobs to drivers efficiently and fairly, monitoring driver availability and job progress.
*Handle customer queries and resolve issues where possible.
*Work closely with drivers and the operations team to ensure smooth service delivery.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
*Previous experience in customer service, call handling, or dispatching is preferred but not essential as training will be provided.
*Strong communication skills and a clear telephone manner.
*Ability to stay calm under pressure and manage multiple calls/jobs at once.
*Good computer literacy and attention to detail.
*Reliability and punctuality.
*Strong local knowledge of Bromley and surrounding areas is advantageous but not essential.
*Experience using a taxi dispatch system (Sherlock preferred) is an advantage, but not essential.
