Job Description:
Production Planner
*Location: Kings Lynn
*Job Type: Full-time
*Salary: £32,000 to £35,000
Our client is seeking a dedicated Commercial Coordinator to join their team. This role involves regular communication with customers, maintaining and updating business systems, and supporting the Commercial Manager. The ideal candidate will have excellent organisational skills and a commitment to maintaining a safe and clean working environment in compliance with our Health & Safety and Quality Management policies.
Day-to-day of the role:
*Report directly to the Commercial Manager and maintain effective communication with customers.
*Update and maintain the business system in line with business requirements.
*Support the Commercial Manager as needed.
*Ensure all areas and workspaces are kept clean, tidy, and organised.
*Comply with the company’s Health & Safety Policies and Quality Management System.
*Use a manufacturing system to produce Job Packs aligned with the production plan.
*Review job orders and establish priorities for production based on the production plan.
*Identify and report potential risks in production plans to the Commercial Manager.
*Process customer orders, verify against quotes, and input details into the business system.
*Raise purchase orders for materials and parts as required for production.
*Provide regular production updates to the Commercial Manager and customers.
*Manage customer orders from receipt to shipment, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget.
*Maintain accuracy in the business system and monitor jobs to ensure timely and budget-compliant completion.
*Communicate effectively with customers, providing regular updates on the status of orders.
*Perform other reasonable tasks as requested by management.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
*Experience using a manufacturing system.
*Good working knowledge of Material Requirements Planning (MRP) and related business systems.
*Ability to produce and manage Job Packs in line with production plans.
*Strong organisational and communication skills.
*Proven ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
*Commitment to compliance with Health & Safety and Quality Management standards.
