Job Title: Senior Tax Manager

Role Summary
Reporting to a Partner, the Senior Tax Manager will be responsible for delivering tax compliance and advisory services for a portfolio of high-net-worth and entrepreneurial clients across the region. The role will involve using modern technology to enhance efficiency and client service while supporting and developing the wider tax team.


Main Responsibilities
*Provide advice to clients on a wide range of personal, business, and tax matters.
*Oversee the tax compliance function for private client tax matters.
*Allocate and manage assignments within the tax team and review team members’ work.
*Assist the Partner with complex tax projects, including income tax, capital gains tax, and inheritance tax planning.
*Provide guidance, training, and support to tax colleagues and wider team members on various tax issues.
*Organise and deliver tax training sessions across the firm.
*Research technical tax matters and provide solutions for Partners.
*Attend internal team meetings and share relevant information with colleagues.
*Participate actively in team discussions, sharing knowledge and ideas.
*Attend client meetings and external events as required.
*Promote and demonstrate firm values, leading by example and supporting colleagues in upholding these standards.
*Undertake CPD to maintain technical expertise and keep up to date with industry developments.
*Contribute to improvements in departmental and firm-wide systems and processes.

Person Specification
Essential:
*CTA qualified preferred, or ACA/ACCA/CA with relevant experience.
*Significant experience in a similar senior role within an accountancy practice.
*Strong numeracy and methodical approach to work.
*Highly organised with the ability to prioritise workload to meet client deadlines.
*Proven decision-making and problem-solving skills.
*Ability to build trust, establish rapport, and demonstrate credibility with clients and colleagues.
*Excellent written and verbal communication skills, confident with client-facing interactions.
*Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Office proficiency.
*Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
*Experience managing and developing a team.
*Knowledge of specialist tax areas, including trusts, inheritance tax, income tax, residency, and employment taxes.
Desirable:
*Experience with tax systems such as CCH and Iris.
