Locum Employment Solicitor – Team Leader

Are you an experienced Employment Solicitor with strong leadership skills? We have an exciting opportunity for a Locum Employment Solicitor – Team Leader to join a respected shared legal service. This is a senior leadership role where you will drive excellence, lead a high-performing team, and manage complex, high-value cases.
About the Role
As Team Leader, you will:
*Provide proactive senior management and leadership for the Litigation and Employment Group.
*Contribute to the development and delivery of the business plan and ensure compliance with LEXCEL procedures.
*Represent the group at management meetings and influence key stakeholders to achieve beneficial outcomes.
*Promote shared case handling and develop strategies to expand income-generating business.
*Manage a personal caseload of complex, sensitive employment matters.
Key Responsibilities
*Directly manage senior officers, setting and monitoring challenging targets.
*Review work allocation and coordinate workflows to optimise team performance.
*Motivate teams to maintain high standards through strategic vision and proactive leadership.
*Design and maintain accurate data systems for performance reporting.
*Authorise payments in line with financial regulations.
*Ensure diversity and equality are embedded in all aspects of service delivery.
Specific Accountabilities
*Lead and develop the Litigation and Employment Group.
*Set, monitor, and review income targets across the group.
*Deputise for senior leadership when required.
*Contribute to risk management and liaise with auditors and senior stakeholders on high-value or sensitive matters.
About You
*Qualified Solicitor with significant experience in Employment Law.
*Proven track record of managing teams and delivering strategic objectives.
*Strong leadership, communication, and influencing skills.
*Ability to handle complex, high-value cases with professionalism and integrity.
*Commitment to continuous improvement and diversity.
