Qualified Senior Audit AssociateLeeds | Hybrid Working
My client is a well-established professional services firm seeking a Qualified Senior Audit Associate to join their growing audit team in Leeds. This is an exciting opportunity for an ACA or ACCA qualified professional to manage diverse audit engagements while developing their technical expertise and leadership skills.
The role is ideal for someone commercially minded, organised, and proactive, looking to work with a wide range of clients across sectors including landed estates, charities, owner-managed businesses, and FCA-regulated entities.
The Role As a Senior Audit Associate, you will:
*Project manage and drive audit and accounting processes, liaising directly with client finance teams
*Take ownership of planning, fieldwork, and completion of audit engagements, working closely with managers and partners
*Manage a small portfolio of jobs to develop career progression and experience
*Contribute to team development and participate in ad hoc projects, including departmental initiatives or client advisory work
*Ensure work is delivered to a high standard, on time, and in line with technical and compliance requirements
The Ideal Candidate *ACA or ACCA qualified (or due to qualify shortly)
*Strong audit experience, including planning and completion of engagements
*Excellent communication and client management skills
*Commercially aware with a client-focused mindset
*Proficient in Excel, Word, and ideally CCH accounts or audit automation tools
*Solid technical knowledge of accounting and auditing standards, including IFRS and consolidated accounts (preferred)
*Highly organised with the ability to manage multiple engagements in a pressured environment
*Proactive team player with a professional attitude
*Driving licence and willingness to travel to client sites (preferred)
The Team & Office You will join a collaborative audit team of over 30 staff in Leeds, part of a larger office of 80+ employees and 5 partners. The team works with a diverse client base including AIM-listed organisations, complex groups with overseas links, owner-managed businesses, and charities. The modern office, opened in 2024, is conveniently located in Wellington Place, within walking distance of the city centre and transport links.
