Are you an Associate Director Civil Engineering ready to lead and grow a regional office, or a Principal Civil Engineer looking to step up into a senior leadership role? This is a rare opportunity for an Associate Director Civil Engineering to take ownership of a growing Leeds office, a strong existing client base and a clear growth plan.
You will be joining a well-established engineering consultancy with a proven track record in civil and infrastructure projects. The business already has committed clients and live work in Yorkshire and now needs an Associate Director Civil Engineering to build, lead and develop a local design team while working closely with an established office elsewhere in the region.
The role
As Associate Director Civil Engineering, you will combine technical leadership, people management and commercial responsibility.
Key responsibilities include:
* Leading and delivering civil engineering projects to programme and budget
* Acting as the main point of contact for clients and key stakeholders
* Supporting business planning, forecasting and invoicing with senior leadership
* Growing and developing a Leeds-based civil engineering design team
* Managing performance reviews and mentoring engineers
* Ensuring designs comply with current standards, legislation and CDM Regulations
* Providing senior technical oversight and specialist input
About you
This role suits an experienced Associate Director Civil Engineering or a Principal Civil Engineer ready to step up.
You will ideally have:
* Significant experience leading civil engineering projects within consultancy
* Strong knowledge of highways, drainage and development infrastructure
* Experience managing teams and supporting business growth
* AutoCAD experience and familiarity with relevant design software
* Degree or HNC in Civil Engineering or similar
* Chartered or Incorporated status preferred but not essential
