Air Quality Consultant
Location: Brighton (Hybrid - 1 day per week in the office)
Salary: £28,000-£32,000 DOE
Penguin Recruitment is working with a forward-thinking environmental consultancy that is seeking an Air Quality Consultant to join their growing team in Brighton. This is an excellent opportunity for a consultant with 1-2 years’ experience who is keen to develop their career while working on projects that directly contribute to cleaner air and healthier communities.
You will be involved in a range of air quality assessments, with a particular focus on road traffic developments, supporting planning applications and delivering high-quality technical work in line with current guidance and best practice.
Key Responsibilities * Undertake air dispersion modelling, primarily for road traffic schemes
* Analyse monitoring and modelling data to assess air quality impacts
* Prepare clear, well-structured technical reports and client-facing documentation
* Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary project teams
* Ensure all work aligns with IAQM guidance and relevant legislation
* Support the development of practical mitigation strategies to improve air quality
About You * 1-2 years’ experience within air quality consultancy or a related discipline
* Proven hands-on experience with air dispersion modelling, particularly traffic-related models
* Member of the Institute of Air Quality Management (IAQM)
* Strong analytical skills with excellent attention to detail
* Confident written and verbal communication skills
* Genuine interest in environmental sustainability and air quality improvement
