Reed Finance are exclusively recruiting for a Finance Manager on behalf of our industry leading client, a successful SME who are at the forefront of their market with both UK and overseas clients.
This role will lead their small but well-established and busy accounts department, overseeing the daily, monthly and yearly accounting whilst supporting the wider SLT to make well-informed business decisions.
Day-to-day of the role:
*Manage all aspects of the accounts department, including staff supervision.
*Control daily cash flow and prepare monthly management accounts.
*Produce year-end accounts for several companies within the group, then act as the lead contact for yearly audits.
*Prepare and submit quarterly VAT returns and P11Ds.
*Review and authorise monthly payroll for several companies.
*Oversee transactional finance including Accounts Payable, Receivable and Credit Control functions where needed, handling GBP and multicurrency payments.
*Conduct monthly balance sheet reconciliations.
*Maintain the fixed asset register and post depreciation journals.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
*Proven experience in a similar role within an SME.
*Strong leadership skills with proven experience in managing a small team.
*Excellent organisational and communication skills.
*Ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
*Detail-oriented with a strategic approach to problem-solving.
