Job Description:
HR Generalist
*Contract Type: Temporary
*Location: Sussex
*Job Type: Full-time
We are excited to represent a growing client in Sussex who is seeking an HR Generalist to join their team on a temporary basis. This role is perfect for a proactive HR professional who thrives in a dynamic environment and is committed to delivering exceptional human resources support across the organisation.
Day-to-day of the role:
*Manage various HR functions including recruitment, onboarding, training, and performance management.
*Assist in the development and implementation of HR policies and procedures to ensure compliance with employment laws and regulations.
*Handle employee relations issues, providing guidance and support to ensure fair and consistent resolution.
*Maintain accurate and up-to-date HR files and records in accordance with legal requirements.
*Support the payroll department by providing relevant employee information (e.g., leaves of absence, sick days, and work schedules).
*Participate in the development of HR objectives and systems, including metrics, queries, and reports for decision support.
*Conduct employee satisfaction surveys and help design action plans based on survey results.
*Assist in organizing and conducting employee training sessions on various topics, including health and safety, anti-harassment, and professional development.
*Provide support to employees in various HR-related topics such as leaves and compensation and resolve any issues that may arise.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
*Proven experience as an HR Generalist or similar role.
*Strong understanding of general human resources policies and procedures.
*Good knowledge of employment/labor laws.
*Outstanding knowledge of MicrosoftOffice; HRIS systems will be a plus.
*Excellent communication and people skills.
*Aptitude in problem-solving.
*Desire to work as a team with a results-driven approach.
*BSc/BA in Business administration or relevant field; additional HR training will be a plus.
