Job Description:
Horticulture Lecturer
*Contract Type: Temporary Full-time
*Location: North London
*Schedule: 37 hours per week (4 days teaching, 1 day PPA)
*Start Date: 12th January
*Duration: 5-week block
We are seeking two Horticulture Lecturers to deliver City & Guilds Level 2 Practical courses at our Enfield Campus. This temporary full-time role is an excellent opportunity for educators passionate about horticulture and eager to engage and inspire students in this field.
Day-to-day of the role:
*Deliver engaging and informative lectures on City & Guilds Level 2 Practical Horticulture to students.
*Prepare lesson plans and materials for each class session.
*Allocate one day per week for Planning, Preparation, and Assessment (PPA) to ensure high-quality teaching and learning outcomes.
*Monitor and assess student progress, providing feedback and support to facilitate student success.
*Maintain accurate records of student attendance, assessments, and grades.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
*Proven experience in teaching horticulture or a related field.
*Strong knowledge of the City & Guilds Level 2 Practical Horticulture curriculum.
*Ability to create an engaging and inclusive learning environment.
*Excellent organisational and communication skills.
*Flexibility to adapt teaching methods to meet different learning needs.
