Job Title: Finance Assistant
We are currently recruiting for one of our key clients due to expansion in the business. Having a turnover of £4million and looking to be nearer £6million by the end of 2026 they are looking to add a strong administrator to the Finance team.
Job Purpose:
The Finance Assistant will play a key role in supporting the financial operations of a busy company. This position involves managing bookkeeping tasks, processing incoming and outgoing invoices, and providing administrative support to the Operations Manager. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in administration and excellent attention to detail.
Key Responsibilities:
*Maintain accurate financial records and perform day-to-day bookkeeping duties.
*Process and reconcile incoming and outgoing invoices in a timely manner.
*Assist with preparation of financial reports and documentation as required.
*Support with administrative tasks, including filing, data entry, and document management.
*Liaise with suppliers and customers regarding invoice queries and payment schedules.
*Ensure compliance with company policies and relevant financial regulations.
*Monitor and manage petty cash and expense claims.
*Provide general office support to ensure smooth operations.
Skills & Experience Required:
*Previous experience in a finance or bookkeeping role (manufacturing / engineering sector experience desirable).
*Strong administrative background with excellent organizational skills.
*Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office (Excel and Xero essential).
*High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
*Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
*Strong communication skills and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
This role is temporary to permanent for the right person, with an immediate start, company benefits, salary reviews and progression are all on offer.
Hours of work - Monday to Friday 8am to 4pm office based.
