Employment Law Paralegal / Legal Assistant

Senior Lawyer / Employment Law Team Leader
Role OverviewWe are seeking a proactive, highly organised and detail-driven Employment Law Paralegal / Legal Assistant to support our busy Employment Law team. The successful candidate will work closely with senior lawyers, providing high-quality legal and administrative support across a wide range of employment law matters.

Key ResponsibilitiesThe role will include, but is not limited to:
*Drafting and documentation
*Draft, prepare and proofread employment law documentation including contracts of employment, policies, settlement agreements and legal correspondence.
*Ensure all documents are accurate, consistent and compliant with current legislation and internal standards.
*Employment Tribunal support
*Assist with Employment Tribunal matters including:
*Preparing and managing hearing bundles
*Drafting and formatting witness statements
*Managing disclosure
*Liaising with counsel and external parties
*Legal research
*Conduct legal research on employment law issues.
*Produce clear, concise research notes for fee earners.
*Casework support
*Support lawyers on investigations, disciplinaries and grievances by:
*Attending meetings
*Taking accurate notes
*Assisting with drafting reports and outcomes
*File and case management
*Maintain and manage case files in line with internal procedures and regulatory requirements.
*Ensure documents, correspondence and deadlines are recorded accurately and in a timely manner.
Person SpecificationThe successful candidate will be:
*Proactive and able to work on their own initiative
*Law Degree
*Highly organised with excellent time-management skills
*Detail-focused, with a high level of accuracy
*Solution-orientated and able to problem-solve
*Confident in written communication and proofreading
*Comfortable working with sensitive and confidential information
Previous experience in employment law, HR, legal services or a professional services environment would be advantageous, but strong transferable skills will also be considered.
