Accounts Assistant
Location: Dover
Salary: £28,000 - £30,000 per annum
Hours: Monday - Friday, 9:00 am to 5:30 pm
A well-established transport and logistics company is seeking an Accounts Assistant to join their team. From humble beginnings in 2000, the company has grown to become a trusted road cargo transport and logistics solution for many forwarding companies and suppliers.
The Role:
*Perform all accounts reconciliation to ensure accuracy and completeness
*Manage purchase and sales ledger
*Maintain spreadsheets for costing
*Credit control
*Support month-end and year-end closing activities
*Handle invoicing and tie up paperwork (CMRs etc.)
*Investigate invoices and resolve queries
*Stock control
*General office duties (this position is office-based)
Skills and Qualifications:

Training will be provided, but the following skills are essential:
*Minimum 2 years’ experience desirable
*Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices
*Proficient in Sage (knowledge of Roadfreight would be beneficial)
*Excellent attention to detail, accuracy, and organisational skills
*Ability to work independently and as part of a team
*Strong organisational skills
