Group Risk ConsultantLocation: Sittingbourne
About the RoleOur client is seeking a Group Risk Consultant to support the delivery and administration of Group Risk and Healthcare schemes. This role will involve managing market reviews, renewals, and client queries, while liaising with clients and providers to deliver high-quality advice and service.
The successful candidate will have strong communication skills, excellent attention to detail, and a good understanding of employee benefits and pensions.
Key ResponsibilitiesMarket Review Exercises
*Liaise with clients to gather relevant scheme information
*Request quotations from the market and existing providers
*Analyse provider responses and market feedback
*Produce clear and comprehensive client reports and recommendations
*Instruct insurers to proceed, including completion of all required documentation
Scheme Renewals & Accounts
*Process annual scheme accounts for renewals
*Review and issue accounts to employers for payment
Client Support
*Respond to scheme-related queries from members and employers (written and verbal)
*Provide guidance on existing and potential Group Risk and Healthcare schemes
Sector Knowledge & Provider Liaison
*Maintain up-to-date knowledge of developments within the Group Risk and Healthcare sector
*Liaise with providers to ensure access to current and relevant proposition information
Communication & Administration
*Communicate professionally with clients, providers, and advisers via email, letter, and telephone
*Obtain, verify, and issue invoices for products including:
*Private Medical Insurance (PMI)
*Group Life Assurance (GLA)
*Group Income Protection (GIP)
*Cash Plan and Dental
*Save invoices to company files and update employee premiums on internal databases
*Issue final invoices to employers
Person SpecificationQualifications
*CII qualifications in Financial Services and/or Pensions
*GR1 (Group Risk qualification)
*GCSE Maths and English (Grade 5 or above)
Knowledge & Experience
*Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel
*Experience working in Financial Services within an office environment
*Experience managing end-to-end market review processes
*Proven ability to produce reports and recommendations for Group Risk and Healthcare products
*Good understanding of scheme renewal accounts processes
*Confident and professional telephone manner
