Estate Services Caretaker

We are seeking an Estate Services Caretaker to provide a high-quality, customer-focused caretaking service. This role is ideal for someone committed to maintaining excellent standards of cleanliness and safety across serviced estates and facilities.
Day-to-day of the role:
*Keep estates, blocks, and play spaces clean, tidy, and free from graffiti and litter, adhering to local cleaning and maintenance schedules.
*Report equipment defects, vandalism, graffiti, and communal repairs to the appropriate colleague or contractor.
*Collaborate with colleagues to address anti-social behaviour, including participating in monthly estate walkabouts to identify and address issues.
*Adhere to health and safety procedures, reporting potential hazards and ensuring areas are safe.
*Maintain and monitor refuse systems and equipment daily.
*Perform periodic cleaning tasks as scheduled with the Estate Services Area Manager.
*Conduct safety and security checks, promptly addressing any hazards.
*Perform non-skilled emergency lighting and fire alarm testing as scheduled.
*Provide cover for colleagues during holidays and sickness.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
*Strong commitment to maintaining high standards of estate cleanliness.
*Physically capable of performing moderately strenuous manual work.
*Ability to organize work efficiently with minimal supervision.
*Cleaning industry specific competency, such as BIC LTP, is desirable.
*Excellent customer service skills with effective communication abilities.
*Good literacy and basic numeracy skills.
*Basic understanding of health and safety regulations.
*Valid UK driving licence (required for mobile roles).
*Ability to work flexibly and respond to out-of-hours emergencies.
