Job Title: Business Development Executive
Monday to Thursday: 9:00 AM - 5:30 PM
Friday: 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM
Salary: Competitive, with commission and incentives
Job Purpose: The Business Development Executive is pivotal in driving the company’s growth by developing and maintaining a robust portfolio of customer accounts. This role involves identifying and capitalizing on new business opportunities, understanding and addressing customer needs, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality service. The executive will work closely with internal teams to align sales strategies with the company’s long-term and short-term objectives, fostering strong relationships with customers and suppliers. By monitoring market trends and competitor activities, the executive will provide valuable insights to enhance the company’s market position and drive revenue growth. This role demands a proactive approach to problem-solving, exceptional communication skills, and a commitment to ethical sales practices.
Key Responsibilities:
* Maintain and develop a profitable customer portfolio through appropriate propositions and ethical sales methods.

* Gain a clear understanding of customers’ business requirements.

* Respond to and follow up on sales inquiries using appropriate methods.

* Procure products in accordance with customer requirements and company guidelines.

* Liaise internally to optimize quality of service, business growth, and customer satisfaction.

* Resolve issues with both customers and suppliers, including financial matters, collaboratively.

* Attend and present at customer meetings, always representing the company in a professional manner.

* Identify and report market and customer trends.

* Identify and qualify new business opportunities.

* Present and promote the company to prospective customers, always representing the company in a professional manner.

* Observe competitor activity and gather intelligence.

* Liaise with global business units to maximize overall company sales opportunities.

* Ensure all sales administration is completed to a high standard and in a timely manner.

* Maintain and update the customer database.

* Attend industry functions when required.
