About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Programme Manager to lead large-scale transformation and modernisation initiatives through our consultancy client across central government. This role suits someone who has successfully managed complex, multi-workstream technology programmes within public-sector environments. The role is hybrid working in London and is Inside IR35.
Key Responsibilities *Oversee end-to-end programmes focused on legacy application modernisation and upgrades.
*Lead on-premise to cloud transformation programmes (AWS and/or Azure).
*Drive the successful delivery of software and digital programmes across multiple teams and suppliers.
*Provide programme-level governance, strategic direction, risk management, and reporting.
*Engage senior stakeholders, cross-functional teams, and third-party suppliers to ensure alignment and smooth delivery across all workstreams.
*Ensure all projects within the programme meet scope, budget, and timeline commitments.
Essential Experience *Previous central government experience is mandatory.
*Proven experience managing large-scale technology or transformation programmes.
*Strong background in legacy system modernisation and cloud migration (AWS/Azure).
*Deep understanding of software delivery practices, methodologies, and governance.
*Experience managing multi-disciplinary teams and complex vendor landscapes.
