Associate Acoustic Consultant - Surrey
Location:Surrey
Salary:£55,000 - £65,000 (dependent on experience)
A well-established environmental consultancy is looking to appoint an Associate Acoustic Consultant to lead and rebuild its in-house acoustics capability in Surrey. This is a rare opportunity to take real ownership of the service line in Surrey, bringing work back in-house, improving technical standards, and supporting long-term growth with the backing of a wider, established business.
With a competitive package of £55,000 - £65,000, this role offers a genuine leadership opportunity for someone who enjoys technical delivery, client engagement, and developing a growing function. The Role Based in Surrey, you will lead acoustics projects from start to finish, acting as the technical point of contact for clients and internal stakeholders. You’ll work across a varied portfolio and play a key role in developing processes, quality assurance, and best practice, while supporting wider business development.
Typical project types include:
* Wind farms
* Planning and development
* Residential housing
* Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS)
* Employment and industrial facilities
Key Responsibilities * Lead and deliver acoustics projects end-to-end, ensuring high technical quality
* Produce, review, and sign-off technical reports and planning submissions
* Provide technical leadership to clients, colleagues, and external stakeholders
* Improve internal processes, QA, and delivery standards
* Reduce reliance on outsourcing by bringing acoustics work back in-house
* Support business development and help grow the acoustics service line
* Mentor junior team members and contribute to building a future team in Surrey

* Proven experience at Senior / Associate level within acoustic consultancy
* Strong technical delivery and confident client-facing skills
