A market-leading Tier 1 contractor with a long-standing presence across Scotland, this organisation is recognised for delivering major flagship projects across commercial, education, healthcare and public-sector frameworks. With a strong pipeline of upcoming work, they are now looking to appoint a Senior Planner to join their Glasgow pre-construction team.You’ll be joining a forward-thinking business that champions collaboration, innovation and professional development.
Your New Role
As Senior Planner, you will play a key role in supporting the pre-construction and bid function, contributing to the successful conversion of major building projects.Working closely with estimating, design, project leadership and the wider bid team, you will:
*Develop high-quality, competitive tender programmes
*Produce clear methodologies, phasing strategies and logistics planning
*Identify programme risks, constraints and opportunities at pre-construction stage
*Support bid submissions and attend tender presentations
*Ensure planning outputs align with internal governance and client requirements
*Use industry-standard planning software to generate accurate, well-structured programmes
This is a strategic role that will place you at the forefront of early-stage project development within a high-performing team.
What You’ll Need to Succeed
You will bring:
*Proven experience as a Planner or Senior Planner within a main contractor environment
*Strong pre-construction and tender planning experience across building projects
*Sound technical understanding of construction methodology and sequencing
*Proficiency in Primavera P6, Asta Powerproject or similar software
*Strong communication skills and confidence presenting planning outputs
*The ability to analyse complex information and produce accurate programmes to tight deadlines
