My client is a leading Financial Services organisation - they are looking for an experienced Financial Accountant to join them on a temporary basis to assist them through a busy time.
This is an excellent opportunity to make a real difference within the finance team. For those at the lower end of the pay scale there is also the opportunity for the role to go permanent.

Description
Key Responsibilities will include:
Financial Accounting
*Lead month-end and year-end close activities.
*Prepare and review journals, accruals, prepayments, fixed assets, depreciation, intangibles, leases and intercompany transactions.
*Complete key reconciliations across bank, balance sheet and P&L.
Financial Operations
*Support AP and operational finance, including invoice coding, payment runs and expenses.
*Handle internal and external finance queries.
Regulatory & Reporting
*Assist with VAT, PSA, Pension Relief at Source and other recurring regulatory submissions.
*Support quarterly and IFRS-related reporting cycles.
Controls & Process Improvement
*Maintain strong internal controls and ensure documentation standards are met.
*Identify improvements, streamline manual processes and support automation initiatives.
Team Support
*Coach and guide junior finance team members and help strengthen team structure and confidence.
Profile
My Client is looking for someone with the following experience and attributes:
*Qualified (ACA / ACCA / CIMA)
*Strong experience in month-end accounting and reconciliations.
*Excellent Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups; automation a plus).
*Background in financial accounting or financial control.
*Financial Services Experience / Experience of working in a regulated environment would be highly beneficial
*Immediate Availability.
*Calm, structured, collaborative and hands-on, with a pragmatic and delivery-focused approach.
Job Offer
A day rate commensurate with experience, between £285 per day and £450 per day (if umbrella company). This is an Inside IR35 role.
