Job Description:
Academics Ltd is working in partnership with secondary schools across Scarborough and surrounding areas to recruit English Teachers who are confident delivering engaging English Language and Literature lessons across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4.
Schools are seeking adaptable practitioners who can create purposeful learning environments, develop strong literacy skills, and inspire students to think critically and express themselves with confidence. Opportunities range from short-term cover to longer-term placements and potential permanent roles.
About the Role * Deliver English Language and Literature lessons to KS3 and KS4 pupils
* Plan creative and structured lessons that engage a range of abilities
* Support pupils’ progress in reading, writing and analysis
* Prepare students for GCSE assessments
* Promote high standards of behaviour and engagement
What We’re Looking For * Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
* Specialist in English with solid curriculum knowledge
* Have experience teaching in UK secondary schools
* Effective communication and management of classrooms
* Flexible, professional and student-focused approach
