I am working with a client who is seeking an experienced and driven Branch Manager to take full responsibility for their branch near Rochford, Essex. This is a fantastic opportunity for a commercially focused manager who thrives on responsibility, leadership, and delivering outstanding customer service.
The Role
As Branch & Sales Manager, you will take full ownership of the branch’s performance and profitability. You will lead, motivate, and develop a multi-disciplinary team across sales, service, parts, and branch administration, ensuring smooth daily operations and an exceptional customer experience.
You will act as a key ambassador for the business—building strong relationships with existing customers while proactively identifying and developing new sales opportunities. This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys being at the heart of the operation and driving results.
Key Responsibilities
*Full responsibility for branch performance, profitability, and day-to-day operations
*Lead, manage, and inspire the branch team to achieve and exceed targets
*Deliver outstanding customer service, both face-to-face and over the telephone
*Drive sales growth through effective upselling and opportunity management
*Develop and maintain strong customer and supplier relationships
*Make confident, accountable decisions in a fast-paced environment
*Identify areas for continuous improvement and implement positive change
Skills & Experience Required
*Good knowledge of Agricultural and Horticultural equipment (desirable)
*Proven leadership skills with the ability to influence, motivate, and inspire
*Strong sales ability with a track record of closing deals and achieving targets
*Excellent communication skills at all levels of the business
*Self-motivated, proactive, and able to work effectively on your own initiative
*Analytical and methodical problem-solver with strong decision-making skills
*Confident using IT systems and business tools
*Discreet and professional when dealing with confidential matters
*Full UK driving licence
Hours & Contract
*42.5 hours per week
*Monday to Friday, 8:00am – 5:30pm (1-hour unpaid lunch)
*Additional hours may be required during seasonal peaks
*Permanent, full-time position
