Job Description:
We are working with an exceptional charity to appoint a Head of Partnerships & Events to join their high-performing fundraising leadership team.
Following a sustained period of growth, the charity is investing further in its philanthropy and corporate fundraising capability and is now seeking a senior, relationship-driven fundraiser to help take two high-value income streams to the next level.
Reporting to the Director of Fundraising & Communications, the Head of Partnerships & Events will play a key leadership role across the fundraising department, with responsibility for shaping and delivering a high-value corporate partnerships and special events programme.
This is a hands-on role combining strategic leadership, people management and direct relationship ownership, working with some significant six-figure partners and a strong pipeline of warm, values-aligned prospects.
Key elements of the role include:
*Leading and developing the charity’s Corporate Partnerships and Special Events strategy
*Personally managing a portfolio of high-value and strategic partners, including relationships at senior and board level
*Oversight and growth of flagship events, including a prestigious annual gala and a high-value golf day
*Playing a central role in the stewardship and development of the organisation’s Philanthropy & Corporate Board
*Collaborating closely with peers across fundraising, marketing and communications to maximise income and engagement
*Contributing to department-wide strategic planning and decision-making
With strong foundations already in place, the organisation aims to grow partnerships and events income from c.£1.5m to £2m over the coming years, within a wider voluntary income target of £5-6m.
About you
This opportunity will suit an experienced, confident fundraising leader who enjoys building meaningful relationships and can operate comfortably at senior stakeholder level.
You are likely to bring:
*Significant experience in corporate partnerships, philanthropy or major gifts fundraising
*A proven track record of securing and managing five- and six-figure relationships
*Experience leading and motivating teams to deliver ambitious income targets
*Strong strategic thinking alongside a practical, delivery-focused mindset
*Excellent interpersonal, influencing and presentation skills
*A collaborative approach and genuine passion for mission-led work
Experience of leading high-value special events is desirable, but not essential for candidates with strong transferable partnership or philanthropy experience.
