We are working with a strong network of primary schools across Taunton, Wellington and the wider Somerset area, all seeking enthusiastic and committed teachers to support them throughout the academic year. As demand continues to rise, we are now recruiting Early Career Teachers (ECTs) finishing in June, alongside experienced teachers, for a variety of temporary, long-term and day-to-day supply roles. This is a fantastic opportunity to gain experience in local Somerset schools and secure placements that support your ECT induction.

Your new role
As a Temporary Supply Teacher, you will deliver high-quality lessons that support pupils’ learning while maintaining a positive classroom environment. Depending on your preferences, you can take on:
*Day-to-day supply teaching across Somerset schools
*Long-term placements suitable for completing your ECT induction
*Full-time or part-time roles that fit your lifestyle
*Roles across Primary (EYFS-KS2) settings
Working across Taunton, Wellington and neighbouring Somerset villages gives you the chance to explore different school environments and quickly build confidence as you start your teaching career.

What you’ll need to succeed
To be successful in these supply teaching roles, you will need:
*QTS or be completing your ECT year this June
*Some school-based or placement teaching experience
*Strong classroom-management and communication skills
*A flexible, proactive and positive approach
*A DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to apply
*Confidence in delivering pre-planned lessons and following school policies
