Semi-Senior Accountant - Growing Firm of Chartered Accountants

Butler Rose Public Practice is pleased to be supporting a growing, independent accountancy practice in Bicester, as they look to recruit a Semi-Senior Accountant to join their friendly and collaborative team
This is an excellent position suited to an experienced accountant join a friendly, growing firm where your experience is valued, and where you can continue to develop your skills across accounts, taxation, and client advisory work
Key Requirements:
*Preparing and reviewing financial statements and statutory accounts for sole traders and limited companies.
*Full bookkeeping functions including double-entry bookkeeping, financial reporting, and month-end processes.
*Completing VAT returns and personal and corporation tax submissions.
*Handling capital gains tax matters where applicable.
*Managing your own client portfolio with confidence, providing practical advice and support.
*Assist in the delivery of audit assignments from planning to completion
*Supporting junior team members where necessary and liaising directly with clients.
Key Responsibilities:
*Minimum 3-4 years’ experience in a UK accountancy practice (Semi-Senior or Senior level).
*Ideally AAT qualified and either part-way through ACA/ACCA
*Experience with supporting on audits ideal.
*Hands-on experience managing and building client relationships.
*Strong working knowledge of cloud accounting software (Xero, QuickBooks, Sage)
*Professional, proactive, and able to work independently within a small, collaborative team.
