Job Description:
Reed Business Support is currently supporting our client with the appointment of a Project Support professional, to assist a senior Project Manager in the delivery of large-scale, high-value construction projects.
This opportunity would suit an experienced construction or project support professional who is comfortable working in a fast-paced, regulated environment and is keen to play a key role in supporting the successful coordination and delivery of complex projects from pre-construction through to completion.
Project Support – The Role
As Project Support, you will sit within a wider Projects team and provide comprehensive administrative, coordination and project support, while taking ownership of designated areas of responsibility.
Key responsibilities will include:
*Supporting the Project Manager with day-to-day administration and coordination across multiple projects
*Acting as a central point of contact for new investigation-related work, with guidance provided by the Project Manager
*Assisting with access strategies in collaboration with site-based and project management teams
*Assessing plant, equipment and material requirements
*Coordinating the ordering of materials, plant and labour
*Liaising with Health & Safety, Estimating and Business Development teams to ensure project scope and delivery requirements are met
*Keeping clients and stakeholders informed throughout pre-construction, delivery and completion phases
*Preparing and submitting valuations and applications to clients and subcontractors
*Supporting the progression of project documentation
*Providing cover for the Project Manager during periods of leave or peak workload
*Assisting with the development and maintenance of strong working relationships with clients, stakeholders, funders and third parties, including attendance at meetings and consultation sessions
*Taking ownership of assigned project elements and ensuring information is accurate, current and clearly communicated
*Supporting the maintenance of agreed quality standards, programme milestones and contract requirements
*Working closely with the Health & Safety function during the pre-construction phase
*Scheduling and attending site and management meetings as required
The Ideal Candidate
You will be able to demonstrate:
*Experience supporting or coordinating high-value construction projects
*A sound understanding of construction project lifecycles and pre-construction processes
*The ability to work across multiple internal teams and external stakeholders
*Strong organisational and administrative skills with excellent attention to detail
*Confidence communicating with senior stakeholders, clients and subcontractors
*The ability to manage competing priorities and take ownership of tasks
*A proactive, professional and solutions-focused approach
