1:1 SEN Intervention Assistant

In this vital role, you’ll work closely with a specific student or a small group of students, delivering tailored interventions that help them overcome academic, emotional, or behavioural challenges and reach their full potential. Key Responsibilities of a 1:1 SEN Intervention Assistant:
*Targeted Intervention: Deliver one-to-one support tailored to the student’s specific needs-whether they are related to learning, social development, or behaviour.
*Lesson Adaptation: Assist in planning and delivering lessons or activities that are accessible, engaging, and adapted to the student’s individual learning style and pace.
*Monitoring & Feedback: Track the student’s progress and regularly share observations with the class teacher and SENCO to ensure effective support is in place.
*Emotional Support: Create a safe, nurturing environment that encourages emotional resilience, confidence, and independence.
*Collaborative Support: Work as part of a wider team-including teaching staff, SENCO, and parents-to implement consistent strategies that promote development and inclusion.
What We’re Looking For:
*Empathy & Patience: A calm and understanding approach to supporting children with additional needs, particularly during moments of difficulty.
*Adaptability: A flexible mindset that recognises and responds to the unique challenges and strengths of each child.
*Clear Communicator: Strong interpersonal and communication skills to work effectively with students, staff, and families.
*Competitive Daily Rate: £90-£95 per day
*Location: Slough
*Schedule: Full time - Monday to Friday, 8:30am to 4:00pm
