Job Description:
Permanent Vacancy - Senior Financial Accountant
Location: Cambridge CB2 (hybrid)
Hours: Full-time, 37.5 hours per week
Salary: £47,810 per annum
Contract Type: Permanent
You will be responsible for maintaining the organisation’s Chart of Accounts and reporting hierarchies, ensuring the integrity of financial data, and leading improvement projects across the department. You will also prepare submissions, resolve complex financial queries, and support junior team members.
Key Responsibilities
*Maintain and oversee the Chart of Accounts and financial reporting structures.
*Lead projects to improve financial controls and processes.
*Prepare key financial documents and submissions for NHS England.
*Manage liquidity across bank accounts.
*Supervise and support the Financial Accounts team, including training and development.
*Liaise with internal and external auditors and senior finance colleagues.
*Contribute to statutory accounts and monthly financial reporting.
Essential Criteria
*CCAB qualified
*Extensive experience in financial accounting within a large organisation.
*Strong understanding of IFRS and financial controls.
*Advanced Excel skills
