Agency Chef role near Middlesborough - 35 hours per week & NO LATE NIGHTS!

An exciting opportunity has become available for an Agency Chef near Middlesborough, offering reliable hours, weekly pay, and a strong focus on work-life balance. This role suits a skilled Chef De Partie-level professional who enjoys high-volume service while working within a well-organised and supportive kitchen team.

*Mixture of 05:30-13:00 and 11:00-18:30 shifts, including some weekends.
*Referral scheme up to £250 via Platinum Recruitment
*Experience working within a large-scale catering operation near Catterick, serving up to 1,000 covers, three times per day
Key responsibilities
In this role, you’ll be responsible for maintaining standards in a fast-paced kitchen, including:
*Managing and running your designated kitchen section
*Preparing and presenting dishes to required quality standards
*Organising mise en place to support smooth service
*Supervising and training junior kitchen staff
*Maintaining food safety, hygiene, and cleanliness standards
*Monitoring stock levels, controlling portions, and reducing waste
*Working closely with the team to ensure consistency and efficiency
What we’re looking for
We’re looking for a reliable and organised professional with:
*Strong cooking skills at Chef De Partie level or equivalent
*Consistency and attention to detail in presentation and quality
*Good time management and the ability to work under pressure
*Sound knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards
*Leadership skills to support and guide junior team members
*Strong teamwork and communication skills
*Excellent organisational skills.
