Responsibilities of this role:
*Provide operational management and oversight of the Looked After Children duty function, ensuring timely and effective responses
*Allocate work, screen and prioritise referrals, and oversee decision-making to ensure safe and proportionate interventions
*Maintain oversight of risk, permanence planning, and care arrangements for children looked after
*Support, supervise, and performance-manage social workers, promoting high-quality, reflective practice
*Ensure compliance with statutory duties, care planning regulations, and local procedures
*Lead effective multi-agency working to safeguard and promote positive outcomes for children in care
*Monitor quality assurance, case progression, and recording standards, escalating concerns where required
Requirements of this role:
*Must be a Qualified Social Worker, registered with Social Work England.
*Must have minimum of 3 years post qualifying social work experience
